I Love Sunflowers!

Welcome fans and followers to another Sweet Sketch Wednesday! We have a terrific new sketch this week and a new sponsor for our challenge and to top even that we are welcoming three new designers to our team!

First a hearty welcome to the new design Divas joining the Sweet Sketch Wednesday team!  You will love the creativity they bring to the weekly challenges.  They are:

Helen Plant - Forever Crafty

It's so good to have you all on our team. Take a visit to their blogs and welcome them to Sweet Sketch Wednesday!

Here's the fabulous sketch for this week's challenge.  Another one that goes together quickly but still has the layers that add interest to your cards.  Give it a try and join us this week in the challenge!

As I said we have a new sponsor this week and are so grateful to the gals at Milk 'n Coffee for providing the Grand Prize winner of our challenge with three free digis from their online shop.  Milk 'n Coffee specializes in cute and girly images, they have a weekly challenge at their challenge blog as well as monthly color challenges on their main blog.  We love their darling images and you will too!

I chose this sweet image from Milk 'n Coffee called "Lisbeth Loves Sunflowers" and brought it to life with Copic markers.  I popped up the sunflower and one of the leaves to add some dimension and interest.  The papers are new to my stash from MME "Breeze" collection and the flower embellishment was created using MFT "Upsey-Daisies" Die-namics dies.

Now hop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see what the Design Team Divas created today with Milk 'n Coffee images. You'll love what you see there and are sure to be inspired!

Mimi Halloween

Hard to believe a whole week has flown by again and getting closer to the start of school and fall activities which of course includes every kid's favorite - Halloween.  We're sharing a new release today at StampFairy with a Halloween theme and Mimi, our new character this season.

The collection is called Mimi Halloween and each one of these images is adorable!  And there's a terrific freebie that will work with any of these.

I used the freebie in the scene I created with one of the new Mimi Halloween images and also included a freebie moon and clouds image from one of last year's collections.  The image was colored with Copic markers and the papers are from an old Cosmo Cricket line called Matilda.

My layout was inspired by a sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week TMS has four sketches from the past to choose from for their challenge this week.  I've chosen the sketch in the bottom right corner for my card and playing in the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge this week.

I'm also playing along in the challenge at Die Cuttin Divas where they have a color challenge this week to use yellow, orange, gray and purple - Challenge #79.  My card has all these colors in the papers I selected and in the colored image. I used a rectangle Nestie die for the image and matting and the decorative strip is punched with a MS Halloween edge punch.

My fellow StampFairies have created some absolutely outstanding cards this week to inspire you and you can find these beauties at StampFairy World.  Hop on over there and take a peak!

You Turn My Wrench

We have a new sketch challenge starting at Sweet Sketch Wednesday today and we're having a "wrenching" good time with our sponsor this week - Bugaboo Stamps!  Doesn't everyone just love those fun digis that Jodie creates?

Here's the sketch to follow for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. I love the diamond focal panel with the other layers behind it.

Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor this week and the Grand Prize winner of the challenge will receive 7 free digis totaling $21.  Bugaboo Stamps offers tons of fun digis from seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over the other side of the super sexy spectrum.  You're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Thanks for your generous sponsorship Jodie!

I choose this fun Bugaboo image called "JJ Carpenter Wrench" for my card. This just cracks me up and I thought it might be a good guy card - like for my hubby's birthday coming up in the next couple weeks.  Although he's never turned a wrench in his life!  The image was colored with Copic markers, the papers are from Echo Park's "This & That" line and the perfect tiny wrench attached to the bow embellishment is from Jolee's Boutique.

The design team has created some wonderful cards this week using Bugaboo Stamps so hop on over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog and check them out. I know they'll inspire you to join us in the challenge!

Whatever Floats Your Goat

I'm starting the week off with a fun card to get you chuckling and make it easier to start the work week! I think this digi collection is so clever of Laurie Wilson at Doodle Pantry.  It's one of the new collections released this month and I've been itching to get a card done using it.  This image and card is sure to get anyone smiling.

This fun set called "Float Yer Goat" comes with two different images in black outline and pre-colored versions, six sentiments and three digital papers.  I've used the black outline image here and colored it with Copic markers. I love the color combination from the papers by Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane paper pack.

Right now - are you ready for this news? - this set is FREE with any purchase of stamps at Doodle Pantry.  Yep - you just can't get a better value than that.  But you have to hurry on over to the Doodle Pantry store because this offer expires on August 24.  It will still be a good value after that but just not free!

And there's still time to join the challenge this month at the Doodle Pantry Blog.  Just use a Doodle Pantry image and enter to win a Doodle Pantry digi set.  The challenge closes on August 24 also.  So hurry along and check out all the great things we have available to create with this month!

We Are Family

Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a good start.  I'm sharing a card today that was created for the reunion of the design team at Sugar Creek Hollow.  Their regular DT has the weekend off and we're filling in - back showcasing beautiful vintage theme cards. The Sugar Creek Hollow design team was my first DT position and I learned a lot from my fellow teammates.  It is such a pleasure to be back today.

The theme of the challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow is "We Are Family". The best place to find an abundance of family theme digi stamps is A Day For Daisies and that's where I picked up this beautiful stamp.  Called "Look What I Brought You", it just brings back such memories when the kids were young. Mothers never forget the hundreds of dandelions brought to us from our children as a gesture of love.  It's such a wonderful family memory and why I selected it for this challenge.

The image was brought to life with Copic markers, papers are My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks collection, and the doily die is from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Now take a minute and visit Sugar Creek Hollow for more inspiration on vintage style. The returning DT have created such special cards and the challenge is a terrrific one this week.  Maybe you'll want to play along too!

Mimi Teddy

Yay it's Friday!  I'm sooooo looking forward to the weekend and a little relaxation after a hectic work week!  The only plans I have are to read a good book and play in my craft room! But before all that I have a new release to share with you today from StampFairy.  This adorable girl is Mimi - a new whimsical character that Gerda has created.  How can you resist this cutie pie?!

http://www.stampfairy.com/digistamps_children_mimiteddy.htm
Here's all the new images and the freebie released today.  The collection is called Mimi Teddy and you'll have a lot of fun creating with these digi stamps.

I brought Mimi to life with Copic markers and used My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Saffron papers. Just try to say that three times fast!  LOL!

For the layout of my card I used this sketch from Sketches by Carly.  It's an older sketch but I thought it was perfect with this image.

Now the rest of the StampFairies created some gorgeous cards with little Mimi Teddy and you just have to take a look at them over at StampFairy World.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Beach Time

Happy Wednesday friends! I'm sharing this fun summer card today using our new sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This adorable image is from Digi Stamp Boutique, our sponsor this week.

I love this sketch! It has lots of layers for beautiful designer papers and looks so interesting when put together. Give it a try and join us this week!

At Sweet Sketch Wednesday we all love Digi Stamp Boutique and the generous support from Sally Ann Hancock the owner.  DSB is our monthly sponsor and has been since the first days of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge blog.  The Grand Prize Winner of the challenge this week will receive six free digis stamps of their choice from Digi Stamp Boutique.

The Digi Stamp Boutique image I used here is from a collection called Rosie and Dan Beach Time. It comes with a bunch of digis where you can create your own beach scene as I did here with the beach towel that was digitally paper pieced and the pail/shovel, starfish and beach rocks - and of course Rosie as the focal point.  I used digital papers from Sheri K Designs here and the image was colored with Copic markers.

Now take a hop on over the the Sweet Sketch Wednesday site and see all the terrific creations the design team created for your inspiration today.  And a reminder that we're having a design team call at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and we'd love to have you join us.  Details are on the blog and applications are due by August 21st.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Barry And His Birdie Friend

Happy Friday folks! I'm sharing a card using the new release at StampFairy today called Barry Winter 2.  Our adorable Barry is out romping in the snow and is so cold his nose is pink! It kind of looks like he's grown his winter beard too!

Here's the full collection of digi stamps released today.  How can you resist this fuzzy little bear?!

Barry and his little birdie friend were brought to life with Copic markers.  Some stickles for the snow and a few snowflake embellies round it out.

There are some absolutely outstanding card samples created by the StampFairies using the new release today.  You can find this inspiration over at our blog, StampFairy World.  Take a peak - you'll love what you see there!
