For This?

Hi there Sweet Sketch Wednesday fans! Yep, it's a new challenge today with Bugaboo Stamps as our sponsor. I know how much you love Jodie's images and I get such a kick out of her character Stella which I'm featuring on today's card.

The sketch this week is a blast from the past sketch - originally appearing in Week 44 of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenges and drawn up by Arlana.  I like the large focal panel set as a diamond shape. It works really well for tall or broad images.

If you're a big fan of Bugaboo Stamps (and who isn't?) this is the week to play along with us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday! They are providing 7 free digi stamps to the Grand Prize winner of the sketch challenge this week!  Thanks Jodie for your generous sponsorship!

The Stella images from Bugaboo Stamps always make me chuckle and this one is no exception. This is Stella Tidbits-For This?  Who hasn't felt this way one morning or another?  I must have the day I selected this image to use for this week's sketch challenge!  Stella was colored with Copics and the papers here are DCWV Dots Pack that I picked up at Michael's craft store. I thought they were perfect with Stella's polka dot robe and cap!

There are such terrific cards being shared today by the Sweet Sketch Wednesday design team using Bugaboo Stamps. Please head over and check them out - you'll love what you see there.

Book Worm

Hi everyone! It's time for a new sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and this week our sponsor is Digi Stamp Boutique. I created this fun card for my son. He's working so hard on his classes and studying for college entrance exams. I thought he just needed to know that I'm so proud of his hard work and efforts and of him.  This DSB image with our sketch this week was a perfect way to convey that.

This terrific sketch was created by our own Sally who's been filling in for Arlana and doing a bang up job of these sketches week after week.  Thanks Sally!

Digi Stamp Boutique has sponsored Sweet Sketch Wednesday since the challenges started 202 sketches ago!  This week, Sally Ann is offering our Grand Prize winner six free digi images - a fantastic and generous prize to one lucky player out there. I hope you'll grab the sketch, create a card using it and play along with us at SSW this week!

Meet "Book Worm Joe" from Digi Stamp Boutique. He was colored with Copics and cut out to add dimension to the circle focal panel.

This fun worm is part of the image and also provided separately in the Book Worm Joe digi set along with a couple sentiments. I thought it was good idea to use this as the embellishment in the sketch.  It could also be used as a stand-alone image which would be great for graduation cards.

We have such a terrific selection of cards created for your inspiration over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday to entice you to shop Digi Stamp Boutique and to play along in our challenge this week. Stop on over there and take a look!

Ahoy Matey!

Ahoy there Matey! It's Wednesday and that means a new challenge at our mother ship Sweet Sketch Wednesday! We have a terrific sketch this week and StampFairy as our sponsor so let's get started.

This sketch is fun and fast to go together and highlights your tall images just perfectly. It was created by our own Sally Dube and I know you'll enjoy working with it.

We all love the adorable images that Gerda creates for StampFairy and are so lucky to have her sponsor the challenge this week. For me it was fantastic to create with StampFairy images again - it's been a while since I was on the team there.

One lucky Grand Prize winner of the challenge will receive a $10 gift certificate to the StampFairy shop for playing along at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  Thanks for your generous sponsorship Gerda!

To create my card this week I chose this cute Lenny Pirate image.  Lenny is one of my favorite teddy bears from StampFairy. He was brought to life with Copic markers, a glitter pen on the earring, sword and treasure box as well as crystal lacquer on his nose. I found these perfect papers at Hobby Lobby during our trip last week.  StampFairy images are so fun to color - stop on over to the StampFairy store and try it out for yourself!

Now to see more of these incredible StampFairy digi stamps with our sketch, visit us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  The design team pulled out all the stops this week to show off the variety of StampFairy images and you'll be so inspired by what they created.

Thanks for stopping by!

Muffin Mouse

Happy Wednesday to you! We're right smack dab in the middle of the kids' spring break and today we're on the campus of Miami University of Ohio on a college tour for my son. Three universities this week - Purdue University (my alma mater), Miami University and Virginia Tech.  All with really terrific engineering schools, business schools and pretty campuses. We're just at the start of a time intensive process of visiting and eventually selecting a college and he has not even concluded his junior year yet!

Let's get on with the card now that I've blabbered on enough about spring break!  It's the start of a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday with a beautiful sketch to follow this week and a fantastic sponsor that we all love.

This sketch, created by our own Sally Dube, is a quick one to go together, shows off those pretty designer papers we're all addicted to using and has just the right touch of embellishments.  I love the two papers cut on the diagonal. Great job Sally!

The fabulous Jennifer Nilsson, owner and super talented illustrator, at The Doodle Garden is generously sponsoring the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week. You just can't resist the darling and whimsical images she creates.  The Grand Prize Winner of the challenge will receive 5 free single images from The Doodle Garden - a terrific prize. Please join us this week for a chance to win!

This adorable image from The Doodle Garden is called "Muffin Mouse" and he has the sweetest little face. I colored him with light pastel color Copics and keeping it fair and light is a challenge for me! The pretty papers are from My Mind's Eye Fiddlesticks 6x6 DP pad. The flowers from the same papers were layered with SU punches, scrunched up and held in place with single silver brads.

Now you just have to see all the other wonderful cards the design team created to inspire you using The Doodle Garden images. Such beautiful cards this week! Pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and take a peek!
