Olive You

I have another Valentine to show you today for the blast from the past sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This is a fun one with the play on words and non-typical Valentine image from Fresh Brewed Designs, our sponsor this week.

Here's the sketch to follow. It originally appeared in May 2013 and is still fresh and unusual lending a wonderful finished look.

Heather Dennis at Fresh Brewed Designs is our challenge sponsor this week. There are so many fun images to select from at Fresh Brewed and we love playing with them. The grand prize winner will receive three free digis from Fresh Brewed - a fabulous prize. Thanks for your wonderful sponsorship Heather!

I chose this adorable image, Olive You, from Fresh Brewed Designs for my card. I loved the idea of using this for a Valentine card with the fun sentiment. It was colored with Copic markers and paired with years-old paper scraps from my stash - selected because of the olive color in them. I love how this turned out.

Bee Mine Valentine

Oh happy day! Isn't this little bee just adorable? I'm sharing this Valentine card made with non-traditional colors for the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Here's the fun sketch for the week. I love this one for its offset panels, but still wonderfully balanced. Sally did a great job with this one and I hope you'll join us in the challenge.

Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor this week and we love Sally Ann's images. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive a £10 voucher to the Digi Stamp Boutique store. We appreciate Sally Ann's generous sponsorship of our challenges each month.  Thanks so much!

This darling Valentine bee is called "Bee Mine" from DSB. I colored him with Copic markers, added lots of glitter on the wings and hearts, and some crystal lacquer on his eyes. The heart is a MS punch and the papers are new from My Mind's Eye.

Panda Heart

Happy Wednesday folks! I have another Valentine today for the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Isn't this the cutest little Panda bear?

Here's the sketch for the challenge, created by Sally. I think this one has a really interesting look.

We're so lucky to have Sami Stamps back as our sponsor this week. I adore the images that Sami creates. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive a $12 gift certificate to the Sami Stamps Shop - a fantastic prize. Thanks for your generous sponsorship Sami!

I chose this adorable Panda Heart image from Sami Stamps for my inspiration card. I paper pieced the heart and cut out the panda's head and feet and popped them up to add a little dimension.  Some touches with Copic markers and he came to life!  The papers are scraps from my Valentine paper stash!

Now head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see all the other wonderful cards the design team created to inspire you to join in our challenge this week.

A Valentine For Ewe

Now that the holidays are over, we turn our attention to the next occasion - Valentine's Day - in this card I made for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. I have to admit it's fun pulling out the Valentines papers in my stash and all the fun images - especially this cute ewe from Bugaboo.

Here's the sketch this week. I think it's always fun to have a diamond shape as the focal panel - it really makes the image stand out.  I hope you'll give this one a try.

Jodi at Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor of the challenge this week. Who doesn't love the fun images that Jodi creates. The grand prize winner will receive 7 free digi stamps of their choice - a fabulous prize. Thanks Jodi for your generous sponsorship!

I love this funny looking lamb and the sentiment that is paired with it. It's called Happy Valentines to Ewe from Bugaboo.  The papers are eons old from my stash.
